Marriage and Family Agreement
In
May of 2000, more than forty churches in Puyallup, Sumner, and Bonney Lake
gathered together in Pioneer Park to unite on behalf of marriages. They
signed a Marriage and Family Agreement in order to collectively impact the
marriages and families in the Valley. The following is the document that
was signed and the churches committed to uphold.
We, churches of greater Puyallup, unite to
foster marriage as a life-long, joyous covenant by affirming and holding to
the following Marriage and Family Agreement
While no one is perfect, we affirm the high
standards of Christian marriage and we proclaim the truth of God’s forgiving
love. The Good News of Jesus Christ offers each of us the hope of a fresh
start. No one is beyond the reach of God’s amazing grace.
