Lay caregivers provide one-to-one Christian care to individuals.

Stephen Ministers are trained listeners.  We can help individuals recognize and express feelings, enabling them to put it in perspective.  Feelings are a God given gift.  Getting them out into the open and dealing with them, that’s the hard part. 

We help people who are:

• Dealing with family or parenting struggles

• Lonely

• Separated, or in the process of a divorce

DIVORCE RECOVERY WORKSHOP
 

A seminar for divorced/separated persons of all ages.

Our workshop leaders have a special empathy for those working toward wholeness because they have dealt with brokenness in their lives.  We have experienced divorce, separation, single parenting and blended families.

Classes and helping ministries offered: 

• Beginning American Sign Language Classes

• You will learn the most basic level of American Sign Language during this 12-week class. 

• Christian Interpreter Training

• Workshops for experienced signers who would like to begin interpreting or enhance interpreting skills.  Taught by NAD/RID certified interpreters.  Held on Saturdays.  

• Deaf Ministry Hearts and Homes

• Provides a helping hand to those in the Deaf Community due to circumstances such as the death of a loved one or the birth of a new baby.  Servants involved in this ministry make encouraging phone calls, prepare meals for families in need, send cards and share Christ’s love.
